Malignant Media Bias

Heading into the holiday season and just completing another Thanksgiving feast, I think we American should give extra special thanks for what happened on November 4th, 2008. History was not only made, but I think we picked the greatest President-elect EVER.

Not only  is the economy turning around because of President-elect Obama, but now, he can take credit for…WINNING in Iraq. You know, the same war he opposed.

Simply stunning. And Republicans think they can get along with the media or  convene some sort of “right-roots” to loosen the grip of the Democrats in Washington?

In a sane world, Big Media needs to go bankrupt. They obviously have shirked their Constitutional duties and are failing to report competently to all of us. Destroy it now.

On Being an HD Snob

I’ve noticed a change in me over the past few months. Lately, whenever I’m wanting to watch some television, I’ve changed my viewing habits on the ol’ cable box.

I’m just watching channels that come in Hi-Def. I’ve become an HD Snob.

Sure, I’m paying for 100’s of others, but this truly is something just as advertised. The picture is clearer, the sound better and the definition is crystal clear compared to standard definition. Read the rest of this entry »

What happens to Sellouts

When you portray yourself as the “fair and balanced” network, but then sell yourselves out in order to curry favor with The One after he won on November 4th, what exactly were you expecting?

Now that the campaign is over and Obama is president-elect, his reticence to talk with the media is gone. Now, he’s eager to spread the impression of abundant pre-oath energy and activity.

So, he’s held four news conferences and two sit-down TV interviews since election day, including three news conferences three days in a row this week. He’s broken the news conference record for all recent presidents-elect.

At these news sessions since Nov. 4, the future commander in chief has answered a total of 22 questions from different reporters. Wednesday, it was NPR, the N.Y. Daily News and CNN.

But not once has the election victor called on a representative of Fox News. He just hasn’t seemed to spot them waving their hand for recognition…

Now what happens is that you either tick off the President-elect, who obviously can’t take ANY criticism or you tick off your viewers or both. And there you have Fox News right now.

I cringe when I hear liberal friends go on about people who watch Fox News, obviously taking their cues from some left-wing media blog site. For whatever reason, this year especially, I’ve watched less and less of FNC. Can’t explain why though. Maybe it’s the tabloid roots creeping in, maybe it’s Geraldo STILL being on the network, maybe it’s the RINO’s, or maybe it’s that lying suspender wearing jackass Bob Beckel or maybe it’s Bill O’Reilly. Whatever the reasons may be, my viewing of FNC is down.

Top 5 Movies To Loathe

Via Dirty Harry, my own preferences for movies everyone else likes, but make my skin crawl or blood boil.

  1. American Beauty. First off, Mena Suvari. Alien-like face and not that attractive. Second, any man who “digs” Lester Burnham is a fool. Third, this movie shows just how out of touch Hollywood really is with reality. A shallow movie made by a bunch of pretenteous elitist snobs who look down upon everyone from their protected perch and sneer at anyone who dares to mow their own lawn or step into a Wal-Mart. And if Hollywood wanted shove anyone down men’s throat, why not Kate Winslet?
  2. Dances with Wolves. Great scenery, but at its core, just an early version of the current crop of anti-America movies produced by Hollywood. It’s basic paint by numbers good and evil crap with nice scenes of buffalo roaming and South Dakota.
  3. Dawn of the Dead. The original one, not the newer one directed by Zack Snyder. The orginal was just an annoying consumerism/capitalism parable.
  4. E.T. Gah. I remember seeing this at the old 24 Outdoor and as a kid, it made me weep a little. Now you couldn’t pay me to watch it.
  5. Blade Runner. Outstanding visuals, but so damn boring. Recently have viewed it a few times on the HD Net Movies and all I can say is that it shows how good Douglas Trumbull really was.

What a waste of life looks like

Got your mullet on? Check.

Got 15 drunken-driving convictions? Check.

Realize that you’ve been nothing but a piece of rectal debris since 1992 and only when you went to prison did you have that manifestation? Uhh check…

Just entering a prison for the first time was enough to make him want to change his ways, Warner said.

“It will scare the living socks off you,” he said. “It’s nothing pretty.”

Although Warner wasn’t sent to prison until his 15th offense, that was the first time a judge could legally send him. That’s because until 1999, Wisconsin’s laws against drunken driving classified all repeat offenses as misdemeanors unless someone was seriously hurt or killed.

So the moral of the story of mullet man Mark is that only when one goes to prison, does one change their ways. Apparently.

How will this be paid for?

So the President-elect has a plan…a bold fresh plan.

I have already directed my economic team to come up with an Economic Recovery Plan that will mean 2.5 million more jobs by January of 2011 - a plan big enough to meet the challenges we face that I intend to sign soon after taking office. We’ll be working out the details in the weeks ahead, but it will be a two-year, nationwide effort to jumpstart job creation in America and lay the foundation for a strong and growing economy. We’ll put people back to work rebuilding our crumbling roads and bridges, modernizing schools that are failing our children, and building wind farms and solar panels; fuel-efficient cars and the alternative energy technologies that can free us from our dependence on foreign oil and keep our economy competitive in the years ahead.

Sounds great, but really, where does the money for all this blue-collar work come from? Is this the future of America? Returning to the Civilian Conservation Corps?

I’m still waiting to hear about the greed of speculators and Wall Street. Oh wait, that came from the opposition.

Why “Republican” is becoming a disease

*Former* Representative Joe Knollenberg proves why.

Cavuto asked Knollenberg: “When the housing industry CEOs come to you and say, ‘You know, [if] we go under and all the ancillary businesses – the dishwasher manufacturers, the washer-and-dryer manufacturers, the Lowe’s and the Home Depots that vastly depend on our being alive and vibrant – if we go under, there’s hell to pay. And then the textile manufacturer comes to you and says, ‘If we go down, there’s hell to pay.’ And on and on and on we go. Where do you draw the line with our money?”

“It is not your money,” said Knollenberg.

Cavuto screamed back, “It is! It is taxpayers money!”

Can the party “leadership” explain to me why people would want to vote for Republican right now when there’s barely a dimes worth of difference between them and the Democrats?

Could the party “leadership” explain to me why the Senate’s most liberal Senator managed to co-op the lower taxes issue from the GOP?

Could the party “leadership” explain to me why they allowed their primaries to get taken over by ne’er-do-wells who took them over to get Bob Dole 2.0 to the head of the ticket?

Could the party “leadership” explain to me why they’ve allowed the Democrats to get the upper hand on EVERY damn issue since 2006?

If this party doesn’t get its act together, that mythical permanent progressive majority running this country for decades may still come true.

Hey man, legalize it man!

To all Iraq War veterans

First of all, a belated Veterans Days standing applause from this little blog.

Second, to all the Iraq War vets who have been instrumental in creating a democracy in Iraq, we’re going to need you soon.

If anything, we’re going to need more Mark Gundrum’s of the world after this is all said and done.

Now I admit, it sounds a tad dire, but the way the left has gotten its power and will most likely reshape things through legislation and transforming ALL the courts, we’re not recognize this country by 2012 I think. I may be wrong, but the government expands and the way the youth of this country is being indoctrinating, we may all be just another cog in the European Union some day.

We are going to need the people coming home from Iraq to get this country back to its Constitutional roots. A tough task, but if they can put together elections in Iraq without the irregularities and fraud rife in ours, there is hope.
